Dynamic Anatomy Workshop July 8th & 9th: Psoas, Pelvis, Legs and Feet

This is an upcoming dynamic anatomy workshop by some people who practice and teach what is called Topf Technique. This is some well grounded movement work. I have taken classes and workshops with Jen and Jaime and they are both well worth studying with as are all the Topf Technique practitioners I have come in contact with.

The contact information is contained in the body of the message and if you are not able to make this workshop they have a schedule of events coming up in the fall starting in September.

Peace.

The School of Topf Technique

For Centered Movement and Alignment
Dynamic Anatomy Workshop

July 8th & 9th: PSOAS, PELVIS, LEGS AND FEET

The Topf Technique incorporates the process of direct observation and sensation of skeletal structures to reveal the body’s natural instinct for centered alignment. We use specific anatomical images as pathways guiding us in the exploration of our bodies. We will work on integrating the action of the psoas to center the pelvis, transfering weight through the lower body, connecting the action of the legs to the spine, and articulating the action of the feet. This will encourage ease and suppleness in standing, walking and dancing. The workshop will contain anatomical theory, deep stretching, movement improvisation and bodywork.

This workshop is one of a series designed for anyone interested in freeing the body from inhibiting movement patterns, developing creativity,
cultivating presence, and learning ways to help with injury prevention and recovery. The work is of special value to performers, artists, yogis,
fitness professionals, therapists and bodyworkers.
